Only one and a half days to go until the L3Pilot Summer School 2020, that will be held virtually on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 September 2020. 

We invite you to the L3Pilot Summer School, where prominent speakers from academia and industry, both internal and external to the L3Pilot consortium, as well as key experts from other European projects and international initiatives in the field of Automated Driving (AD) will present the latest developments.

The dedicated L3Pilot Summer School website is designed to offer the audience three advantages: a) to follow live the presentations through the streaming window on the left side of the screen, b) to post or react to questions posted and interact with other attendees through the Q&A window on the right side of the screen, c) to cast your votes (active only during the Poster Pitches Session) and select the best Poster Pitch through the integrated Polling platform Sli.do on the right side of the screen.

In case someone wishes to only follow the presentations and not submitting a question then she/he may simply select the Full-Size mode from the streaming window.

You are strongly encouraged to submit your questions at any time during each session and not only during the Q&As Sessions. Reacting to questions by the audience is encouraged as well!

Few useful remarks for the audience in the QnAs:

1. Please try to limit your questions in the thematic discussed by the session that is currently running
2. Feel free to interact with posted questions via the “Like” button, on the right-hand side of each posted question. That will help us select the most popular questions and transfer them to the speakers of the related session.

Participants will discuss the main challenges in the areas of AD technology, exchange knowledge and contribute to the ongoing discussions about the future of AD. The progress of the largest piloting activities in Europe, implemented by the L3Pilot partners, will be discussed as well.

Posters & Poster Pitches Session

All posters submitted with success to the L3Pilot Summer School will be shortly available on the L3Pilot website. The authors who expressed their interest in presenting during the Poster Pitches Session, which will be held on Day 2, September 10, will have the opportunity to present the central result of their posters. There will not be time for each presenter to walk through their entire poster. So, to make the best use of the allotted time, the audience is strongly recommended to delve into the posters before the Session starts and attend the Q&A Session ready to ask any questions and discuss the materials. The audience is encouraged to post their questions during the session and ideally before the QnA session starts so that the moderator can take into account as many questions as possible. The audience is also encouraged to vote for the best Poster during the session. The decision will be announced at the end of the Session.

Posters will show on all research topics that are related to the theory and practice of Automated Driving (AD) Implementation and Testing including, but not restricted to most recent developments, future directions or updates to establish approaches in the topics that the L3Pilot Summer School covers.
