Researchers from I-SENSE Group of ICCS visited the Island of Chios on March, 22nd with an aim to deliver 4 solar energy mobile chargers to the Municipality. Solar Energy Chargers were developed in the framework of the project Green Beach which is managed by the Representation of the European Commission in Greece in collaboration with ICCS (Institute of Communications and Computer Systems) and ISENSE Group as a technology provider.
Dr Giannis Karaisetanidis and Babis Manousiadis represented ISENSE Group in a joint press conference at Chios Town Hall. The municipality was represented by the Deputy Mayor of Tourism Costas Verginas who further emphasised the importance of this installation as another step towards the island’s green goals. The solar energy chargers will be placed in distinct public locations accessible to citizens, enabling them to charge their devices. This action was completed as part of a series of activities that ICCS and ISENSE Group leads to promote the Green Deal objectives to Greek municipalities and authorities.
