THEROS Innovation Recognised by the European Commission’s Innovation Radar

We are proud to announce that an innovation developed within the Horizon Europe project THEROS has been officially recognised by the European Commission’s Innovation Radar platform.

The innovation, titled “Dynamic Digital Product Passport (dDPP) for Organic and GI Products”, was assessed by the Innovation Radar as:

  • Market Maturity: Market Ready
  • Market Creation Potential: High

As part of this evaluation, the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) was identified among the project’s Key Innovators contributing to the development of this innovation.

The Dynamic Digital Product Passport aims to support greater transparency, traceability, and trust across organic and Geographical Indication (GI) product value chains, enabling smarter and more sustainable agri-food ecosystems through advanced digital technologies.

The Innovation Radar is an initiative of the European Commission designed to identify high-potential innovations and innovators emerging from EU-funded research and innovation projects. Through the platform, citizens, investors, policymakers, and industry stakeholders can explore cutting-edge technologies developed across Europe.

The THEROS innovation will soon become publicly accessible through the Innovation Radar platform, joining more than 13,000 EU-funded innovations already showcased by the European Commission.

This recognition highlights the strong innovation capacity of the THEROS consortium and reinforces the project’s contribution towards accelerating the digital and sustainable transformation of the agri-food sector in Europe.
