The new EU-funded Horizon Europe project held its kick-off meeting on 20-21 October 2022 in Athens. The two-day meeting started with a welcome note from ISENSE Group’s Director and project coordinator Dr. Angelos Amditis and continued with presentations and fruitful discussions on the partner’s involvement in the project activities and future steps.
PoDIUM (PDI connectivity and cooperation enablers building trust and sustainability for CCAM), will be coordinated by ISENSE Group’s ITS team and will address several challenges in road automation and telecommunications, especially linked with connectivity, cooperation, data management, interoperability, reliability, trust and data truthfulness, required for higher levels of vehicle automation and advanced CCAM services. The project will use and enhance the facilities of three well-equipped Living Labs (LLs) in Germany, Italy and Spain, to define a rich set of demanding CCAM Use Cases to identify and assess the connectivity/cooperation enablers and needs towards higher levels of automation.
PoDIUM’s outcome will be a reference architecture that integrates advanced modules and infrastructure equipment and that can be applied to various road environments.
PoDIUM will run from October 2022 to September 2025 and consists of 26 partners from 9 different EU countries.
