The EU funded AccelWater project organised an open day on Circular Economy and Industrial Symbiosis on June 2, in the city of Patras.
During the event, the main points of the project were presented while then were discussed the methods for processing and utilizing the solid waste and the wastewater of an industry, in order to achieve sustainability. Following, our team presented the required digital tools for industrial symbiosis and the digital platform developed by ISENSE Group as part of the project, aiming to establish the reuse in industry in the context of encouraging the circular economy. Furthermore, the European initiative for circular cities and regions was presented, while was discussed the set-up of autonomous ecosystems with the aim of accelerating the climate neutrality.
The event was attended by the Vice-Regional of Achaia, the Presidents of the Chambers of Achaia, Ilia and Aitoloakarnania, a representative of the Green Fund, a representative of the Municipality of Trikala, and also representatives of the most renown companies of the industrial sector.
