The RESIST Final Event was successfully held: Towards increasing the resilience of transport infrastructures

The RESIST Final Event was held virtually on 24 June 2022, concluding successfully the project’s innovative scientific journey! The participants had the chance to see the innovative technologies developed within the project like the RESIST Platform and Integration Environment, the Aerial robots and Ground Control Station, the Structural Vulnerability Assessment, the Mobility Continuity module and more as well as the project’s pilot demonstrations’ outcomes. During the event, ISenseGroup Director Dr Angelos Amditis and RESIST coordinator presented an overview of the project and the achievements made. Also, Margarita Kostovasili who was the day to day project manager dealing with RESIST presented a Detailed Inspection process flow and Thodoris Theodoropoulos presented the Mobility Continuity module. It is important that the RESIST Project Officer Sergio Escriba was present and made the opening speech.

The overall goal of RESIST project that is coordinated by ISenseGroup was to increase the resilience of seamless transport operation to natural and man-made extreme events, protect the users of the European transport infrastructure, and provide optimal information to the operators and users of the transport infrastructure. To increase resilience, RESIST has developed an integrated, interoperable, and scalable safety/security platform to offer high levels of resilience and secure the nearly seamless transport operation in the event of critical structures subjected to extreme events.
