The NAPCORE Mobility Data Days 2026 will take place in Athens, Greece, on 25–26 November 2026, bringing together mobility data experts, service providers, transport authorities, operators, cities, regions and policy makers from across Europe to exchange knowledge and discuss the future of mobility data accessibility, interoperability and exchange.
As part of the programme, participants will have the opportunity to join a dedicated Technical Visit to the “Test Before Invest” Facility of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) / National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), located in Koropi, Attica.
The ICCS “Test Before Invest” Facility is an advanced research and innovation environment designed for the prototyping, testing and demonstration of cutting-edge technologies under near-real operational conditions. The visit will offer participants first-hand access to modern laboratories, experimental platforms and technologies supporting smart, connected and data-driven mobility.
What to Expect
During the visit, participants will experience live demonstrations and guided tours showcasing:
- Smart Sensing, Data & AI Applications: Intelligent sensing and monitoring technologies, advanced data processing systems and AI-enabled applications for experimentation and prototype development.
- Driving Simulation, Robotics & AGVs: Advanced driving simulators, autonomous testing platforms, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), robotic arms, collaborative robots (cobots) and edge-enabled automation technologies.
- Prototyping & Field Testing: Specialised research environments where innovative solutions are developed, integrated and validated under conditions closely resembling real-world operations.
Participants will also have the opportunity to meet ICCS researchers and technology experts, exchange ideas and explore how advanced research infrastructures can support the future of smart and data-driven mobility.
Practical Information
Location: ICCS “Test Before Invest” Facility, Koropi, Attica – approximately 40 km from the main conference venue at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) and close to Athens International Airport.
Transportation: Organised bus transfers will be provided to and from the SNFCC. Estimated travel time is approximately one hour, depending on traffic conditions.
