Researchers from I-SENSE research group of ICCS took part in the Greek legation to the World Expo 2020 in Dubai (24th October 2021) led by the Dep. Minister for Demography, Family & Gender Equality Vice-President EPP Women, with a mission to promote and network on the “Innovation Center for Women – #GIL4W”, the newly established Innovation Center that ICCS and I-SENSE research group participates since May.
Dr Villy Portouli and Christina Anagnostopoulou attended the 5ο EU-GCC Business Forum and took part in the Day Event ‘Women in Technology 4.0 Skills’ where the actions of the ‘Innovation Center for Women-# GIL4W’ were presented and discussed with a worldwide audience.
The innovation Center for Women # GIL4W is an initiative led by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. It aims at the the design of innovative actions that will enhance the attraction of more women to study in STEM and will increase women participation in research, innovation and entrepreneurship. The #GIL4W will create a platform for the development of entrepreneurship that will be based on high technology, creating the conditions for equal participation in the new environment formed by the continuous development of technology and giving special emphasis to female talent. It aims also to assess the impact of gender-based policies.
