On 2nd and 3rd of November 2022, our team had the pleasure to attend the 4th International Conference of Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing (#ISM2022) which took place at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences – Hagenberg Campus in Linz, Austria. During the Conference, Fotios Konstantinidis, Project Manager of I-SENSE Group, presented the paper “Multi-sensor cyber-physical sorting system (CPSS) based on Industry 4.0 principles: A multi-functional approach “, where a new approach being included in the Cyber-Physical Sorting System (CPSS) was introduced, capable to be adapted in different industries such as urban wastes, construction and demolition wastes, mineral sorting as well as wood classification wastes and which was authored by the ISENSE Group in the framework of the new project, PLASTICE.
During the Conference, our team also moderated a Special Session about Machine Vision and Industry 4.0 where high-quality papers were presented and which can be part of the Industry 4.0/ Industry 5.0 era.
Fotios Konstantinidis, I-SENSE project manager also received an award as an outstanding member of the International Program Committee whose insightful and supportive feedback has helped authors to substantially improve their papers in the peer-review process and for his contribution to the growth of the conference community.
