The two-day KoM of RECONSTRUCT project was held on 22 & 23 June 2023 in Barcelona, where the 16 consortium partners gathered to officially launch the project’s activities!
RECONSTRUCT will (i) develop low-carbon alternatives to Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), to be used in both renovations and new buildings, and incorporate Construction & Demolition Waste (CDW) and other waste as much as possible, (ii) manufacture construction components that use such materials and are designed for modularity and dismantling so they can either be reused or easily disassembled and recycled, (iii) embed deconstruction in building design and construct circular low-carbon buildings that produce near-zero CDW across their lifecycle.
I-SENSE Group will contribute to all the project activities and especially, the Block chain track and tracing, the Symbiosis optimization algorithm and the Data Management Plan.

Enhancing the Energy Efficiency of Wearable Devices in the ENACT Project
Within the ENACT project, the I-SENSE Group of ICCS is contributing to the optimisation of wearable sensing platforms by evaluating and improving their energy efficiency. Our team, led by Stefanos Chatzimichelakis, analysed, estimated, and measured the
