Your role:
You will be a Control & Automation Engineer with a passion for open source to build robotic application in the entire project lifecycle from the design and simulation, development and demonstration phases in Smart Manufacturing. This role is about developing and integrating control and automation systems into a smart production line with the use open-source environments. The Control and Automation Engineer will also conduct research to assist in the controlling of robotics. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team with Electrical, Mechanical and Physics Engineers to define and execute a vision and roadmap for our projects.
Preferred Skills:
- BSc/MSc degree in Control/Automation/Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar degree.
- 3+ years of experience with designing, simulating, managing, and implementing Robotics solutions.
- Ability to develop and evaluate integrated system
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems
- Good knowledge of the available robot control, protocols, and their interoperability challenges.
- Communication protocols, systems interconnections, integration in open-source software
- You have a software engineering, Linux, and open source background
- Knowledge of Python or C/C++ programming
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
