I-SENSE at 10th Road Safety & Simulation (RSS) International Conference

The I-SENSE Group actively participated in the 10th Road Safety & Simulation (RSS) International Conference, held in Naples, Italy, from 23 to 26 June 2026. Recognized as one of the leading international events in road safety research, RSS 2026 brought together researchers, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss the latest advances in road safety, simulation, human factors, and innovative mobility solutions under the conference theme “Advancing Towards the Safe System Approach.”

During the conference, Lazaros Giannikos presented the paper “Safety Impacts of Emerging Mobility Systems in Mixed Traffic: A Multidimensional Taxonomy Integrating Behavioural and Cultural Factors.” The paper was co-authored by Lazaros Giannikos, Konstantinos Fokeas, Pinelopi Alexiou, Anna Antonakopoulou, and Angelos Amditis.

The presented work was developed within the Roads4All Horizon Europe Project, which aims to enhance road safety by leveraging innovative technologies, advanced methodologies, and evidence-based approaches to support the transition towards safer and more resilient transport systems across Europe
