On 18–19 September 2025, the I-SENSE Group of ICCS, in collaboration with SEABILITY, successfully hosted the EVENTS project Summer School 2025 in Athens. The two-day event brought together university students, early-career researchers, professionals, and educators eager to explore the rapidly evolving field of Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility (CCAM).
Highlights of the Summer School:
Participants enjoyed a rich programme that combined expert-led presentations, an interactive workshop, and case studies, all designed to bridge research excellence with real-world applications. The sessions provided:
- Valuable insights into cutting-edge developments in Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs)
- Hands-on experience through an interactive workshop
- Direct dialogue with leading figures from academia, research and industry
- Networking opportunities with peers and professionals in the CAV ecosystem
The Summer School fostered an inclusive environment where diverse voices and ideas were encouraged, further strengthening collaboration within the CCAM community. To this end a dedicated panel discussion was organized for the first time, with female professionals from the CCAM field who shared their experiences on the relationship between gender and work.
