FENIX project consortium had the pleasure to showcase the project’s Greek pilot demonstrations in the presence of the Greek Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation and other important executives at an exclusive event that took place on the 25th of May at the Port of Piraeus.
FENIX Greek pilots aim to transform the Greek-Balkan-Europe multimodal corridor to a “more” digitalized and smart one, using new innovative and disruptive technologies and tools and achieve interoperability and datasharing with private platforms and services while also creating new federated services. As stated in its name, FENIX’s vision is to achieve the first European Federated Network of Information exchange in Logistics offering a holistic view and easy access to the TEN-T corridors.
Giannis Kanellopoulos, Logistics and Maritime subteam leader at the ISENSE Group, joined the discussions and during his presentation highlighted the importance of the FENIX project for the Greek Logistics Community and presented the benefits that have emerged for the operation of the freight port and the established businesses within the Free Zone of Piraeus.
The meeting was co-organized by the ISENSE group and the Hellenic Institute of Transport in cooperation with Piraeus Container Terminal while the project is conducted under the programme Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and is co-financed by the European Union.
