The I-SENSE group of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) is currently recruiting a Software Development Engineer to work in a range of European-funded projects. We are seeking for a dynamic, sharp, highly motivated individual with passion for innovation and creative solutions. He/she needs to have a proven track record of following schedule and performance objectives and to exhibit leadership from conception phase through implementation and validation.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical and Computer Engineering degree or equivalent

Technical Competencies:

  • Proven experience with C/C++
  • Good knowledge of hardware and software interaction, interfaces etc.
  • Significant experience with code reviews (Gerrit), source control (Git, Svn) and issue tracking systems (Jira)
  • Thorough understanding of networking protocols and technologies
  • Experience in C++11/14
  • Experience in automated build and test and / or test driven development

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Familiarity with Automotive applications
  • Experience in CMake
  • Experience in ROS
  • Experience in Qt Framework
  • Experience in Python
  • Experience in Scrum/Agile
  • Experience in sensor data acquisition and signal processing
  • Experience in real time application development and handling timing and synchronization issues
  • Working experience in the ITS field will be positively assessed
  • Good written and oral English language communication skills
