Stamatis Diakakis holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Ioannina (2016) and an MSc in Energy & Environmental Science from the University of Groningen (2019).
Since 2020, he has built a solid track record as a researcher and EU Project Manager, actively contributing to Horizon Europe projects focused on digitalization, energy system innovation, and sustainable built environments.
He brings expertise in coordinating complex Work Packages and Tasks, bringing expertise and strategic insight to advance energy innovation and sustainability goals, while leading the coordination, design and implementation of advanced solutions such as energy ontologies, Cost-Benefit Analysis tools, and Decision Support Systems. Stamatis effectively bridges technical development with policy alignment and standardization, while also playing a key role in writing EU proposals, particularly under Horizon Europe Cluster 5 topics.
