Dr. Spyros Athanasiadis is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS), National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

He holds an B.Sc. in Informatics and Telecommunications, received in 2006, and an M.Sc. in in Management & Economics of Telecommunication Networks from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), received 2008.  He has obtained a PhD degree from the National Technical University of Athens, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2017 (NTUA). His PhD Thesis focused on Microwave methods imaging of surface using Ground Penetrating Radar.

He has worked in the public and private sector for more than 15 years in several positions such as: Web developer, IT consultant, Researcher, Presales engineer. Furthermore, he has worked at several EC-funded projects at the phase of proposal writing, design and submission process as well as coordination during implementation. He has published more than 25 journal and conference articles, various peer-reviewed publications and has strong experience in R&I proposal submission.
