Dr. Pavlos Basaras received his BSc/MSc degrees from the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Thessaly, Volos, Greece, on 2011 and 2013, respectively. He then pursued and received his PhD degree in 2017 from the same department. During his PhD, he also worked at the Centre of Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), in NITLAB, a network implementation testbed research lab, with focus on cellular communications. From 2018 to 2020 he was a postdoctoral research fellow at Trinity College Dublin, the School of Computer Science and Statistics, in collaboration with Nokia Bell Laboratories, Dublin, Ireland.
His research interests focus on computer networking and wireless systems. He is experienced in transport layer protocols, broadcast/multicast communications with applications in video/TV services, and wireless network optimization.
