Ioannis K. Gallos is a graduate of the School of Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences. He holds an MSc in Engineering and a PhD in Science, all issued by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). As a fellow of the NTUA he collaborated closely with the Medical School of Athens, the University Research Institute of Mental Health, the Academy of Athens, the Technical University of Munich, and the University of Naples Federico II, where he has also been a visiting researcher. He has published articles in international scientific journals and conferences and has served as a reviewer after invitation and review editor for remarkable scientific publishers. He has been awarded the Thomaidion award by the NTUA for his original research, and his working experience spans various positions as a data scientist and machine learning/ biomedical engineer. Currently, he is a member of the I-SENSE Research group of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems holding the position of Scientific Project Manager/ Senior Researcher actively participating in ONCOSCREEN Horizon Europe – Research and innovation program as Technical Coordinator of the project. His interests focus primarily on system dynamics, time series analysis, machine, manifold and deep learning applications for medical diagnosis and public health.
