Giorgos Zacharopoulos holds an MSc. In Electronic and Electrical Engineering (University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, 2016) and a BSc. In Electrical Engineering (Technological Educational Institute of Central Greece, 2015). Between 2015 and 2024 he worked as an Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) consultant for a major UK engineering consultancy and as a senior ITS advisor for the English motorways operator (National Highways). He has also previously worked as a network engineer within the telecommunications industry in Greece (2014-2015). Through his experience he has developed a list of professional skills including project management, engineering consultancy, system design, implementation, and operational assurance.
He is currently working as a project manager within the Connected Cooperative Automated Mobility division of I-SENSE Group. His scientific interests include design and development of intelligent transportation systems and driving automation systems, design and conduct of experimental studies with driving simulators or equipped research vehicles on road, and sensor networks, services and applications.
