Elisavet Parselia is an Earth Observation data scientist and engineer working at the intersection of generative AI, remote sensing, deep learning, and large-scale geospatial data engineering. Over more than a decade, she has developed machine-learning systems for satellite imagery, taking them from research through production. Her work spans self-supervised and spectral–spatial representation learning, hyperspectral vision-language modelling, biomass estimation, and environmental analysis.

Today, her focus is generative AI for Earth Observation: transforming satellite data into ready-to-use embeddings that enable a broader community to build with EO data without complex preprocessing. She has worked in Greece, the UK, and Germany, including roles at Planet Labs and the National Observatory of Athens, where she helped shape an early-warning system for mosquito-borne disease.

She has held senior roles at deep-tech EO and AgriTech startups. She is now Senior Researcher at ICCS. She holds degrees from TU Berlin and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
