Theseus Project kicks off with a 3-day Conference in Athens: Building a Circular Economy hub in Greece

3-5 December, Athens

The Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is organizing a kickoff event to mark the start of the new European project Theseus, a significant step forward in promoting the circular economy model in Greece. The event will take place from December 3 to 5, 2024, at the Serafio Center in Athens, gathering key Greek and European representatives from public administration, industry, research, and business sectors.

Theseus Project: A new Chapter for the Circular Economy in Greece

The Theseus project represents a milestone for circular economy practices in Greece. Through a dynamic international consortium of 52 partners—including technology companies, institutions, research centers, and industries from across Europe—it aims to establish Greece’s first Hub for Circularity (H4C). The project’s mission is to promote the circular economy, beginning in Attica and ultimately creating a nationwide network. These initiatives align with the Partnership for Progress (P4P) and are designed to support the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

About the Agenda

During its 1st day, the event will host important figures from the local and European Community  in circular economy, representatives of ministries, public bodies and corporations. It will be an open event addressed to the public, aiming to make a substantial contribution to the dialogue on circular economy in Greece.
