The 7th ITS Hellas Conference “Transportation & Logistics 4.0: Exploring Innovation” was successfully completed on 9th December. More than 50 speakers, 13 supporters, 16 sponsors and 150 participants attended the ITS Hellas annual Conference that for the 7th consecutive year focused on the developments related to Intelligent Transport Systems in Greece.
The Conference was organized by ITS Hellas (Organisation for Intelligent Transport Systems in Greece) and our research team ISENSE group of ICCS/NTUA (Institute of Communication and Computer Systems/ National University of Athens). It enjoyed the support of the European Commission Representation in Greece and numerous ministries, public and private organizations in Greece. It took place in the setting of the Royal Olympic Hotel.
Placing at its center the discussion on the broad deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) as a tool to achieve economic growth and prosperity and ensure the effectiveness, efficiency and safety of transport, the conference succeeded in revinng the dialogue on the developments related to the digitalisation of transport and logistics. The theme of this year’s event was “Transportation and Logistics 4.0: Exploring Innovation” and it also explored ways of encouraging innovation in the mobility sector, with attention to the Greek case.
