Save the Date for the 7th ITS Hellas Conference”Transportation & Logistics 4.0: Exploring Innovation”

The Organisation for Intelligent Transport Systems in Greece – ITS Hellas (www.its-hellas.gr/) is holding its Annual Conference in Athens, in a hybrid format, on 8-9 December 2021 with the support of the European Commission Representation in Greece.

As previous editions, the main objective of this event is to discuss the broad deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) as a tool to achieve economic growth and prosperity and ensure the effectiveness, efficiency and safety of transport for the benefit of the respective industry, the end-users and the environment.

The theme of this year’s event is “Transportation and Logistics 4.0: Exploring Innovation” and discussions will focus on developments related to the digitalisation of transport and logistics and will also explore ways of encouraging innovation in the mobility sector, with attention to the Greek case.

The Conference is organized by the ITS Hellas and I-SENSE research group of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the National Technical University of Athens. 

Every year the conference takes place under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and plenty of other public authorities, organizations, municipalities, sponsorships, etc. It enjoys high levels of attendance and succeeds in leading the discussion in the field, as it brings together representatives from the policy, research and industry sector in a productive dialogue for the future of ITS deployment in Greece.

The 7th ITS Hellas Conference will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Ministry of Digital Governance, the Municipality of Athens, the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation, the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers, the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship, the Hellenic Association of Innovative Application Companies of Greece, the Hellenic Institute for Logistics Management, the Greek Cold Storage and Logistics Association, and the Hellenic Logistics Association.
