NeMo and the 1st award for the Most Feasible Entry in the MOBI Grand Challenge Phase II Citopia

A press release was issued by Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) on the occasion of NeMo’ s 1st prize in the MOBI Grand Challenge Phase II Citopia. The press release is available in Greek.

More specifically, the NeMo European Project, coordinated by our team ISENSE Group, has been awarded the 1st prize in the ‘Most Feasible Entry’ category of Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative [MOBI] Grand Challenge Phase II Citopia. The award ceremony was held in Los Angeles on November 12, 2019, as part of the MOBI Colloquiums and Exhibitions.

The MOBI Grand Challenge (MGC) launched in October 2018 and is modelled on the DARPA grand challenge for autonomous driving which launched the autonomous driving revolution. MGC is sponsored by the @Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative [MOBI] (whose members are more than 100 corporations, government and NGOs), and the Trusted IoT Alliance. The MGC organizes competitions twice a year as part of a three-year tournament. The goal of the challenge is to create a viable, decentralized, ad-hoc blockchain connected IoT and smart infrastructure that can deliver data in a credible way, engage in transactions, coordinate behavior and thus improve human mobility.
