An important meeting for the Greek Innovation Lab for Women (#GIL4W) was completed at the offices of the Athena Research Center on Friday, December 15, 2023.#GIL4W intends to become the leading Greek ecosystem to adopt a gender – sensitive approach to innovation and entrepreneurship, integrating the female talent into the sustainable, green and digital post-Covid recovery of the Greek economy. The model for #GIL4W is developed by the European Centre for Women and Technology. ICCS participates in #GIL4W with an aim to design innovative actions. The #GIL4W will establish a vital area for high-level corporate commitment to a gender-centric approach to innovation. It will involve designing innovations that include women as service providers and innovators, as well as end-users. The project will adapt the application of innovations to the needs of women, evaluate the gender-based impacts on employment and innovation using real data. Lastly, it aims to scale innovations that provide sustainable solutions to meet the needs of women and girls, creating a Greek Center of Excellence for innovative women and STEM entrepreneurs, positioning them at the forefront of the global innovation ecosystem. Our team, I-SENSE Group of ICCS, is responsible for WP2.1, Interconnection with relevant factors -public institutions, governmental actors, service providers etc- both in Norway and Greece, with an aim to organize and plan the relevant actions. Our team is represented by Despoina Kaneti, Member of the Executive Office at ISENSE.
