We are in the pleasant position to announce that ICCS is now a ‘Full Research Member’ of the 5G IA and this has been very much welcomed by the Governing Board of the 5G IA. The 5G Infrastructure Association (5G IA) is committed to foster 5G research, development and deployment in Europe. The primary objective of the 5G IA is to promote and support European leadership for the development, deployment and evolution of 5G and ensuring a clear European voice on 5G around the world. This involves actively promoting all parts of the 5G lifecycle and ecosystems. At the same time, the 5G IA is preparing for the next chapter in the mobile communications story with the new ‘Smart Networks and Services’ Partnership, which will set the foundations for 6G.
The 1st Hi-Drive Summer School co-organised by the ISENSE Group of ICCS and the EU-funded project Hi-Drive successfully took place on September 06 -07 in Porto Heli. Despite the unforeseen delays caused by extreme weather conditions,
