I-SENSE Group Showcases Mobility Solutions at CSUM 2024 

At the 7th Conference on Sustainable Mobility (CSUM2024), held at the Plastira’s Lake in Karditsa, from September 4th to 6th, 2024, the I-SENSE Group was actively represented by researchers Jason Sioutis and Christos Ballis. This year’s conference theme, “Climate Crisis and Transportation Resilient Systems”, brought together experts to discuss innovative solutions for adapting transportation systems to the challenges posed by climate change.

Jason Sioutis led a presentation in Special Session 1: Smart Urban Mobility: Automation as Key to Sustainability and Safety, where he focused on the Lighthouse and Follower Cities within the ELABORATOR Project, emphasizing sustainable urban mobility interventions and also presented the scientific paper “A Methodology for Designing Sustainable Urban Mobility Interventions Towards Climate Neutral Cities” (authors: Iason Sioutis, Vangelis Angelakis, Anna Antonakopoulou, Vasileios Sourlas, Ida Grundel, Tina-Simone Neset and Angelos Amditis) during the Technical Session 5.1 – Towards Safe and Green Mobility.

Meanwhile, Christos Ballis contributed to Technical Session 3.1: New Mobility Services in the Digital Era, where he presented findings from the PoDIUM Project, detailing the PDI Developments and CCAM Ecosystem Analysis. Additionally, he highlighted the advancements of the IN2CCAM Project, focusing on the on-site demonstrations of C-ITS architecture and autonomous vehicle operations in Trikala, Greece.

The participation of the I-SENSE team showcased cutting-edge research in sustainable and resilient transportation systems, reinforcing their leadership in the field of smart mobility and autonomous transport solutions.
