CYCERONE project kicked off its research work in Brussels!

We are excited to announce our participation in CYCERONE (CYbersecurity aCadEmy foR educatiOn and experience) – a groundbreaking initiative, designed to elevate cybersecurity skills across Europe and strengthen digital resilience!

CYCERONE aims to establish a dedicated digital academy, bridging the gap between academia, private, and public sectors to democratize and expand access to cybersecurity training.

The project was officially launched on January 23rd, 2025, in Brussels, bringing together 16 project partners under the coordination of EIT Digital (EITD) to collaborate on shaping its future. Hosted at the EIT Digital offices, the event featured a strong academic presence, including AALTO UNIVERSITY EXECUTIVE EDUCATION OY (AALTO EE), NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS (NTUA), RIGAS TEHNISKA UNIVERSITATE (RTU), UNIVERSITATEA BABES BOLYAI (UBB), KUNGLIGA TEKNISKA HOEGSKOLAN (KTH), LINKÖPINGS UNIVERSITET (LIU), EÖTVÖS LORÁND TUDOMÁNYEGYETEM (ELTE), POLITECNICO DI MILANO (POLIMI), UNIVERSITÀ DEGLI STUDI DI TRENTO (UNITN), and TAMPEREEN KORKEAKOULUSÄÄTIÖ SR (TAU). Additionally, key non-academic partners such as RISE RESEARCH INSTITUTES OF SWEDEN AB (RISE) and TALENT GARDEN ITALIA SRL (TAG) participated, alongside EIT Digital (EITD) in Belgium and Spain. Together, the consortium laid the foundation for a strategic roadmap, driving impactful developments in the project’s next phases.

NTUA, represented by ISENSE Group and DSS Lab, plays a key role in the project as the Dissemination Manager, ensuring broad visibility and outreach. Additionally, our team will contribute to customizing learning pathways and configuring training content, enabling tailored, high-impact educational experiences. Christina Anagnostopoulou, Executive Office Technical Manager, represented ISENSE Group at the Kick-Off Meeting.

With a holistic approach to cybersecurity education, CYCERONE is set to empower Europe with the talent needed to secure the digital future.
