Since 1970, the bilingual (English- Greek) glossary of terms in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology has been a valuable tool for our researchers, scientists, students as well as for professionals in the field. Today, its 4th edition, with more than 34.500 entries seeking to accommodate the rapid expansion of the terms in the field, is now available via isense webite. It has been the result of a methodical and systematic work by Panos Kaliontzopoulos, ISENSE researcher who initiated this rare collection -50 years ago – and until today, remains the scientific responsible for its successful maintenance.
In his recent interview, he draws our attention to the explosive growth of English terms in the field, and the challenges faced when trying to relocate them in Greek.
