The I-SENSE Group organized the Special Session, “Co-designing Inclusive and Sustainable Urban Mobility through Collaboration and Innovation,” at the 8th Conference on Sustainable Mobility (CSUM 2026), showcasing how collaboration, digital innovation, and citizen engagement are driving the future of sustainable mobility across Europe.
The session featured inspiring contributions from the Horizon Europe ELABORATOR project, coordinated by our team, highlighting gender-inclusive mobility planning, gamified co-design tools, living lab experiences, smart mobility interventions, stakeholder collaboration, and simulation-based approaches that support evidence-based decision-making in cities. It was a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and share innovative practices for building more inclusive and sustainable urban mobility systems.
Our team was represented by Vasilis Sourlas, Head of the ITS/CCAM Division, who moderated the session, and Anna Antonakopoulou, SMAS Team Leader, who presented the I-SENSE Group’s work within the ELABORATOR project.
