We were proud to participate in the 8th IRTAD International Conference, held in Athens on 15–17 April 2026, a key global event bringing together experts to advance road safety through better data and analysis, organized by the International Transport Forum (ITF/OECD), the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers (HITE)
Our team actively contributed to discussions shaping the future of safer and smarter mobility systems during the SOTERIA project workshop which was organized during the first conference day.
Dr Vasilis Sourlas our TMAT Responsible (CCAM, INS, SMAS, Logistics) and Division Leader CCAM presented the CHORUS project, highlighting innovative approaches for orchestrating heterogeneous actors in mixed traffic environments and enhancing coordination within the CCAM ecosystem. CHORUS is advancing the orchestration of connected and automated mobility services, enabling seamless interaction between vehicles, infrastructure and users across complex traffic conditions.
Dr Vasilis Roungas, Project Manager at I-SENSE Group presented EVENTS project key results and outcomes focusing on the hybrid validation of V2X Collection Perception in Complex Scenarios that the project tackled within its research spectrum. EVENTS is developing and validating next-generation V2X solutions, combining real-world and virtual testing to ensure reliable performance of cooperative systems in challenging and safety-critical environments.
