Dr. Angelos Amditis has been elected as the new President of ITS Hellas, marking the beginning of a new era for the National organization in Intelligent Transport Systems. His election, during the General Assembly on September 16, 2025, signals a strong step forward in redefining the organization’s role and strategic direction in Greece and across Europe.
With extensive experience in intelligent transport systems, sustainable mobility, and digital transformation, Dr. Amditis — who also serves as Director of Research and Development at ICCS/NTUA and Chairman of ERTICO – ITS Europe — brings a forward-looking, European perspective to ITS Hellas. “Our goal is to strengthen collaboration between research, technology, and the market” noted Dr. Amditis, “transforming knowledge into practical solutions that enhance mobility, safety, and quality of life.”
A dynamic new Board of Directors

- Fostering cooperation among universities, research centers, and companies to accelerate knowledge transfer.
- Upgrading ITS Hellas’s digital presence and outreach activities.
