Nestled in the industrial zone of Attica in Koropi, the TEST BEFORE INVEST Facility – developed by the I-SENSE Research Group of ICCS/NTUA – is Athens’ premier industrial innovation hub for prototyping, validating and scaling advanced technologies in realistic production-like environments.

Smart Sorting Systems – Utilizing artificial intelligence and deep learning for material classification through multispectral, hyperspectral, optical, and X-ray data.
Industrial Sorters – Dedicated lines for different material categories (C&D waste, wood, plastics, metals, glass), enabling realistic process testing and optimization.
Lab-Scale Testing Line – AI-driven, multi-sensor systems with modular, flexible design and robotic handling units for experimentation, adaptation, and prototype development.
