Vasilis Milionis received his Computer Engineering and Informatics degree from the University of Patras (CEID) in 2023. He is interested in Computer Vision, Control and Automation with emphasis in real world applications, such as Autonomous Driving and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. For his thesis, “DNN-Based UAV Tracking in AirSim”, he developed and implemented a pipeline that utilized a Convolutional Neural Network and a Kalman Filter. The CNN was later pruned to achieve higher fps on a Jetson Nano. He is currently working at the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) and more specifically at the Intelligent Network Systems (INS) team.
