Mr. Megas Georgios serves as the Leader of the Innovation and Networking Unit at the I-SENSE Group of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS). Mr. Georgios Megas brings extensive experience as an Innovation and  EU Affairs Manager, having served as the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe National Contact Point (NCP) for Greece from 2016 till April 2024. He held the position of the NCP and Expert for ICT, FET and EIC pilot in Horizon 2020 and coordinator of the NCPs for Cluster 4 (Digital, Industry, Space), CL1 and other, in Horizon Europe at EKT. Mr. Megas has been the coordinator of the Greek EIT Health Hub from 2017 till 2024 supporting Greek startups, spinoffs and students in Digital Health. Furthermore, Mr. Megas has been an innovation and technology transfer consultant for the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN, 2016-2023) and co-chair of the EEN Digital Sector Group, with great achievements in matchmaking between Greek and international organisations. Mr. Megas has managed various EU RnI/CSA projects including Idealist, Startup3, NCP4Industry and other. He was the Greek representative at the  EDIH Expert Group formulated by  DG CNECT in 2018-2019, and participated in the Greek EDIH SmartAttica since its submission phase. Previously, he has worked as a Co-funding (e.g. ERDF) programmes expert at Alma and Partners and at the Ministry of Rural Development. Mr. Georgios Megas holds a BSc. degree in Agricultural Engineering from AUA and an interdepartmental MSc. degree in Organisation and Management of Industrial Systems from UNIPI & NTUA.
