Ioannis Karagiannis is an AI/ML Robotics Engineer at I-SENSE Group of Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) since March 2024. He received the Diploma degree from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Patras University in 2012, and the M.Sc. degree in Systems, Control, and Robotics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in 2015. His hands-on experience spans various domains: from deploying positioning systems and IoT solutions in the elevator industry in Sweden (2015-2016), to pioneering work in robotics, augmented reality, haptics, and SLAM algorithms within the telecommunications industry in Sweden (2018-2021). More recently, he has made significant contributions to the defense industry in Greece (2021-2024), focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision, deep learning, artificial intelligence, and object detection/tracking.
