Dr. Vasileios Evangelopoulos has received the Diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2013 and the PhD degree in the flexible management of power distribution systems in 2022 from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He also holds the MSc degree in Engineering-Economic Systems from the NTUA and the University of Piraeus.
His expertise includes modelling and simulation of power and energy systems, development of optimization methods, techno-economic analysis of energy projects, as well as analysis of energy markets. His professional experience was gained by working as an Electrical Engineer/Consultant on various private projects in the energy sector, as well as by participating in various EU-funded research and innovation projects. His scientific interests include optimization models and methods for the flexible and coordinated management of renewable energy resources with storage systems and demand response applications. He has published a significant number of research articles in international scientific journals and conferences after review process that have attracted 600+ citations.
