Dimitris Tryfonopoulos completed his undergraduate studies at the School of Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences at NTUA. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Telecom Paris Tech University and in Data Science and Machine Learning from NTUA’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Throughout his career, Dimitris has held research positions at various prestigious scientific institutes such as ESRF, ICM, and the Onassis Cardiac Centre, as well as at renowned European universities like ENS, Marie Curie University, and the University of Antwerp. His primary areas of expertise revolve around diverse Biomedical Imaging techniques, including CT, MRI, and fUS. He excels in applying statistical and signal processing analyses to a wide range of data types. He is also well-versed in employing various Deep Learning architectures for MRI image reconstruction and denoising. In addition to his technical skills, Dimitris possesses strong competencies in data analysis, optimizing imaging protocols, project management, and providing technical support.
