Alexandros Liazos

Alexandros Liazos is a graduate Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens (2020), having also accomplished a Master’s Degree on Management Science and Technology from the Athens University of Economics and Business (2022). After fulfilling his military obligations, serving at the Hellenic Air Force, as of January 2023, he currently works as a Researcher/Research Assistant at the Intelligent Transport Systems team, part of the I-SENSE Group within Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS), as well as at the Laboratory of Transportation Engineering (School of Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering, NTUA).

His main fields of interest include transport and traffic modelling as well as spatial analysis and operations research. His research on optimal paths for electric scooters in an urban environment, entitled “Geofence planning for electric scooters”, was published at January 2022 edition (volume 102) of the international journal “Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment”.
