Data Fusion: Events, activities and movements will be correlated and analyzed as they occur in time and space, to determine the location, identity and status of individual objects (equipment and units), to assess the situation, to qualitatively and quantitatively determine threats and to detect patterns in activity that reveal intent or capability. Specific technologies are required to refine, direct and manage the information fusion capabilities.
I-SENSE group develops data fusion S/W for tracking applications using data from microwave and optical sensors. It is a major research area of the group testing novel data fusion platforms using DSP techniques for the tracking process. Main application areas are the automotive field, navigation and transportation.
Relevant project is EUCLIDE.
