1Automation is one of the most promising enabling technologies of smart mobility in road transport. In his recent article published on the CAD VIP Blog, the ISENSE Group Director Dr. Angelos Amditis is talking about the important role of the CAD Knowledge Base in reinforcing the future automation solutions in mobility.

NeMo HorizoneMagazine AAThe innovative EU-funded NeMo (Hyper-Network for electromobility) project, coordinated by the I-SENSE Group Director Dr. Angelos Amditis, was featured as 'Project of the Month' at the latest issue of the Research*eu Magazine. This came as a recognition of the 1st prize for the most feasible entry won by our project partners in the MOBI Grand Challenge Phase II Citopia, in Los Angeles, last November.

1The increasing demands of the rapidly changing workplace landscape require the development of integrated Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) services, that are compatible with modern reality. The continuous improvement of working conditions and quality of the working environment has become a top priority for businesses and societies, both at the national and European level.

The ISENSE Group of ICCS had the opportunity to participate in the exhibition of the Eco-Fest 2020 event, that took place from 18 to 20 January 2020, in Technopolis, Athens.

The event was a three days celebration of Green Cities, Sustainable development and Electromobility, areas that ISENSE Group is working on extensively the past few years and has to display several innovative solutions and ongoing R&D activities.

On this occasion, our demonstrations were focused on the work currently conducted towards a greener and more sustainable mobility and specifically on the activities taking place within the framework of two important EU-funded H2020 projects, coordinated by the ISENSE Group's Director, Dr. Angelos Amditis, the Elviten project and the recently awardedNeMo project.

L3Pilot showcaseThe research project L3Pilot, co-funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 programme, tests the viability of automated driving (AD) as a safe and efficient means of transportation on public roads. All L3Pilot cars are series production vehicles that have been modified by installing a variety of sensors and technical equipment, including data loggers. It will focus on large-scale piloting of SAE Level 3 AD functions, with additional assessment of some Level 4 functions. The functionality of the systems will be exposed to variable conditions with 1,000 drivers and 100 cars across ten European countries, including cross-border routes.
