Nantia Skepetari

SkepetariNantia Skepetari is an experienced journalist with a demonstrated history of working in the media production industry. She is skilled in Broadcasting, Storytelling, News Writing, Communication and Social Media. She holds a Bachelor Degree in “Communication, Media and Culture” Department of Panteion University of Athens. She continued her studies with Executive Programs in “'Digital Marketing” and in “Website and Marketing Actions for Small Tourist Units" at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She worked as a journalist for the Radio Station of the Municipality of Athens, Athens 9.84, covering reportage and presenting the Daily News and Good Life Shows. She also worked as a Communications Manager and Social Media Manager at a well-known Fashion Business Group. She has a great interest in entrepreneurship, innovation and startup ecosystem. During her career she had the opportunity to exclusively interview many internationally acclaimed entrepreneurs, artists and scientists. At the ISENSE Group of ICCS, she works as a Communication and Dissemination officer.

Giannis Kanellopoulos

JK photoGiannis Kanellopoulos holds a BSc in Computer Information Systems from the American College of Greece, an MSc in Software Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK and an MBA from Durham University, UK. He has more than 20 years of experience in systems analysis, software engineering and data networking. He was the data network architect and project manager for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and has participated in systems design for several banks and telecommunication organizations. John was a member of the IT team of the Piraeus Container Terminal S.A. for 10 years, participating in all major projects of the company. In the past, he has also been a part-time member of the Faculty of the American College of Greece (Deree College) for six years.

Alexandros Kordonis

al.kordonisAlexandros Kordonis received his Diploma degree from the school of Electrical & Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2009 and his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kyoto in 2015. His research interests at that time were nonlinear dynamics, power electronics and dynamic modeling. After his graduation, he gained industrial experience in design, simulation and experiments of power converters in the semiconductor industry. Since April 2019, he became a member of ICCS/i-sense group, working as a project manager in research topics.

Stamatis Manganiaris

Stam. MangStamatis Manganiaris has obtained his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 1992. He obtained his MBA in Telecoms from Athens University of Economics and Business in 2008.

He has experience in high-end technology and business consulting companies, being in administrative job positions and successfully completing complex projects. His expertise sectors are Telecoms Networks Deployment and Maintenance, IT security, IT & Technology Project Management, IT Service Design and Delivery, Business Continuity, Digital Transformation, Business Process Management & Re-engineering.

He has obtained international professional qualifications as far as Program Management, Cybersecurity and Service Delivery are concerned (PMP, ITIL, ISO 27001, CBCI – AMBCI, BTEC IT Security etc.). Since 2019, he has been appointed as a project manager in the I-SENSE group.

Constantinos Vassilakis

VASSILAKISDr. Constantinos Vassilakis holds a BSc. degree in Informatics (1995) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a M.Sc. degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering (1999) from the Technical University of Crete, and a Ph.D. degree in Informatics and Telecommunications (2008) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Since 1997 he has been working as a Developer and Development Team Leader, Network and Network Services Designer/Engineer, Researcher and Technical Project Manager having participated in several R&D projects funded by the European community, the Greek government and the private sector.

His main interests are in the area of computer networking, programmable networks, energy efficient networks, ad-hoc/peer-to-peer networks, large scale infrastructures and services, mathematical modelling and performance evaluation, applied operations research/data science and facilitating infrastructures.

He has published a number of articles in scientific journals and conferences while he has served as a Local Arrangement Committee or Technical Program Committee member for international conferences and as a Reviewer for several international scientific journals and conferences.

Since March 2019 he has joined the ICCS/i-SENSE group, working as a Senior Researcher in EU research projects.

Christos Theodoropoulos

linkedin protographyChristos Theodoropoulos received his Diploma degree from the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2018. Currently, he is a developer, machine learning engineer at the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS). Particularly, he is a member of the ITS team of the I-SENSE Group. His main research interests include machine learning, deep learning and other topics related to the wide field of artificial intelligence.

Markos Antonopoulos

Markos AntonopoulosMarkos Antonopoulos is a researcher at ICCS. He graduated from National Technical University of Athens, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2005. He received his MSc degree in Applied Mathematical Sciences from the Mathematics department of NTUA in 2007. He has since worked as a STEM teacher in schools and private lessons. Since 2013 he has been working as a researcher and PhD candidate in ICCS NTUA, specializing in the mathematical/computational modeling of biological systems and machine learning applications on medical data.

Efi Kontosea

kontoseaEfi Kontosea graduated from High-school in 1994. In 1995 she studied secretarial support. Currently she is studying Greek Civilization at Hellenic Open University.

In the past she had worked as a Personal Assistant in various construction companies.  She joined ICCS in 2017 and she is concerned with administration issues.

Irini Outra

20190215 215257Irini Outra graduated from the Economics Department of the University of Athens in 2010. Since then, she has been in the Commercial Sector and has worked for two of the largest Companies in the Retail Section in Athens as Executive Assistant of CEO and Operational Director. She has extensive experience in Administration, Data Analysis and in directing all operational procedures including human resources and financial issues. She joined ICCS in 2018 and is concerned with the ICCS Financial administration, being responsible for resources planning and management.

Orestis Sampson

orestis sampsonOrestis Sampson holds a BSc degree from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens where he found of great interest the Computer Graphics field. He completed his studies with the thesis “Simulation of an endoscopic camera using a haptic feedback device” having support from the ICCS group. Following that, he worked for Nokia Networks as a Software Developer where he participated in a feature development agile team for the Core LTE components. In order to continue pursuing growth in the Computer Graphics field, he has completed the Computer Game Engineering MSc course at Newcastle University. The course was completed with the project “Smoke Simulation using GPGPU programming” the study for which, combined OpenGL, shading techniques and parallel programming.
