Giannis Bakas

Giannis Bakas graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UOA) and he received his Diploma from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications. His diploma thesis was the Extension of the Implementation of a distributed collaborative algorithm using a wireless sensor network for tracking the evolution of an environmental hazardous phenomenon. He is interested in software develpment, operating systems and system programming.

Miltiadis Koutsokeras

Miltos.KoutsokerasMiltiadis Koutsokeras holds a BSc degree in Informatics from Department of Informatics of T.E.I. of Athens (2004) and a M.Sc in Data Communications from the Brunel University London(2008). He has been employed as a Software Developer since 2003 from private companies and the Research Institute N.C.S.R Demokritos for the design and implementation of various systems. His experience varies from Computer Graphics and SOAP Web Services up to system installation and maintenance (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) for various flavors of the Linux operating system. His main interest is the design and implementation of software for various fields. In I-SENSE Group he is involved in Embedded systems and IoT software development projects.

Anastasios Rigos

tasosDr. Anastasios Rigos holds a BSc degree in Mathematics (University of Ioannina, Greece, 2004) and a PhD degree in Artificial Neural Networks (University of Aegean, Greece, 2017, exact title: “Development of Polynomial Neural Networks using Orthogonal Polynomials”). During his PhD studies he has participated in research projects.  He has a list of publications in international journals and conferences. His scientific interests include among others: Artificial Neural Networks, Image Processing, Time-series analysis, Optimization methods, Statistical analysis, Swarm Intelligence algorithms and single-board computers (embedded systems). Since January 2018 he is a Research Associate at ICCS, I-SENSE Group.

Eleftherios Ouzounoglou

Ouzounoglou El photoEleftherios Ouzounoglou holds a B.Sc. in Informatics and Telecommunications and an M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA). In his Bachelor Thesis focused on the field of Machine Learning (Bayesian Networks) and during his Master Thesis on Systems Biology-oriented modeling. One of his models has been selected as the “Model of the Month” of the BIOMODELS database. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the National Technical University of Athens, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering aiming at the utilization of Machine Learning methods for the personalization of cancer simulation models.His research interests include, among others, Machine Learning, Software Development for Desktop and Mobile devices, Data and Communications Security, Systems Biology and Multiscale Cancer Modelling. He has participated in several EC funded research projects (FP7, H2020) and he has published a number of articles in scientific journals and conferences. He has been a member of In Silico Oncology and In Silico Medicine Group of ICCS since 2011 and a member of I-SENSE Group since October 2017.

George Baroutas

BaroutasGeorge Baroutas holds an Electrical and Computer Engineering Diploma from the National Technical University of Athens with his specialization in the field of Telecommunications. Since 2005 he has worked in highly recognized telecom and consulting firms. He acted several times as an evaluator of National investment proposals as well as an auditor of research and innovation territorial cooperation projects co-funded by EU. George Baroutas joined ICCS/i-sense group since December 2017 working as a Senior Researcher / Project Manager in EU research projects.

Nikolaos Tousert

He is also a PhD candidate in the same school. From 2014 to 2017 he has been working for the In Silico Oncology and In Silico Medicine research group, National Technical University of Athens, where he has been involved in FP7 research projects. Dr. Vasilis Sourlas

Vasilis Sourlas fotoDr. Vasilis Sourlas received his Diploma degree from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Dept., Univ. of Patras, Greece, in 2004 and the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the same department in 2006. In 2013 he received his PhD from the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Univ. of Thessaly (Volos), Greece. In January 2015 he joined the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Dept., UCL, London to pursue his highly prestigious Marie Curie IEF fellowship. His main interests are in the area of Computer Networking and Future Internet architectures. His research has been awarded the best paper awards in 3 international conferences (IFIP Networking 2015, IEEE LANMAN 2016 και ACM MobiArch 2016). Since October 2017 he is with the ICCS/I-SENSE group working as a Senior Researcher in EU research projects. He is also a member of the IEEE and the Technical Chamber in Greece.

Christina Anagnostopoulou

Pic Christina AnagnostopoulouChristina Anagnostopoulou has received her Diploma degree from the school of Electrical & Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2009, and a MSc in Environment Systems from The University of Tokyo (UTokyo) in 2013, where she remained as international researcher in Environmental Engineering focusing on renewable energy systems and sustainability. Based in Japan, she has gained industrial experience in the design, development and implementation of large-scale energy projects in the private energy sector. She has joined the Intelligent Transport Systems team of ICCS since September 2017 and she is also a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 2010.
