Paschalis Vittas

Paschalis Vittas holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from Democritus University of Thrace. He has previously worked in the Sales department of a major multinational retail chain where he was responsible for coordinating sales efforts and maintaining positive customer relationships. He has also undertaken projects relevant to competition analysis and customer satisfaction monitoring.

Since 2021, Paschalis has joined the Accounting department of ICCS, being responsible for purchases, supplies and travel arrangements.

Irini Krimpa

Irini Krimpa4jpgIrini Krimpa is a Communication Officer in the ISENSE Research Group of ICCS. She is a graduate of the faculty of Economics of University of Patras and holds an MSc in Services Management from the Athens University of Economics & Business. She speaks 4 languages, holds a digital marketing diploma from the Hellenic American Union while she is currently expanding her knowledge in the field of coaching and organizational psychology. Through her studies and experience she has focused on consumer behaviour and communication and has worked more than 13 years in several marketing fields such as communication, qualitative marketing research, and digital marketing. She has worked on numerous projects with well-known institutions and global enterprises while in the recent years, she has been highly involved in the tech, culture and tourism sectors. Her duties in ISENSE include the creation, development and management of all the communication and dissemination activities for a variety of EU tech related research projects.


Dr. Maria Dekavalla

Dr. Maria Dekavalla
 received her BSc in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering in 2007 and an MSc degree in Geoinformatics in 2011 from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). She has also obtained a PhD in Remote Sensing from NTUA, School of Rural Surveying Engineering in 2019. Her research interests are in the fields of remote sensing, geomorphometry, object-based image analysis, machine learning, and computer vision. She has published several articles in scientific journals and she also serves as a reviewer in international scientific journals. 



Dr. Panagiotis Michalis

P.MichalisDr. Panagiotis Michalis (PhD, MSc, BEng(Hons)) is a Senior Project Manager and Senior Researcher at ICCS/I-Sense group since April 2021. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Strathclyde (UK) focusing on Smart Sensing and Intelligent Infrastructure. Panagiotis has significant international experience in the coordination and management of the full life-cycle activities of several EU & UK funded (FP7, H2020, EPSRC) projects and more than 5-year experience in postdoctoral research roles (Universities of Glasgow / Zagreb / Strathclyde / Brasilia, NTUA) co-funded by the industry. He has been appointed as an external evaluator of EU funded projects, as a reviewer in scientific journals, and has delivered invited talks to Universities, private organisations and media. Panagiotis is currently lead author of more than 60 peer-reviewed publications in journals and international conference proceedings. His research interests include the development and application of advanced sensing methods for intelligent systems, the lifecycle assessment of critical infrastructure, the mitigation and adaptation of critical assets to hazards & risks, and the digital transformation of infrastructure systems.



Katerina Georgiou

Katerina Georgiou received her Diploma degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Patras in 2020. Her Diploma thesis was about the simulation of the movement of a robotic vehicle in an unknown environment using a camera, performing 2D mapping at the same time. She joined the I-Sense Group of ICCS in March 2021.


Marios Palazis-Aslanidis

PalazisMarios Palazis-Aslanidis received his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia at Greece (UoM) in 2020.

In his thesis he developed a Web Application that could predict the upcoming sport events by evaluating past results. Furthermore, Marios was one of the finalists of Project Future 5 powered by Regeneration & Piraeus Bank.  His interests include full-stack development, software development and data science. At 2021 he joined the I-Sense Group of ICCS and works as a Web Developer since then.


Dimitrios Kosyvas

kosyvasDimitrios Kosyvas is an undergraduate student of the National Technical University of Athens, department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

He is currently working on his diploma thesis in cooperation with SENSE-Group  and will receive his diploma at 2021. He is interested in software development, embedded systems and digital signal processing.


Sevi Christoforou

Sevi ChristoforouSevi Christoforou joined the ICCS team as a Communication & Dissemination officer in February 2021. She holds a BA in Media & Communication from National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s Degree in Media, Culture & Society from Erasmus University of Rotterdam. Sevi has experience working in various communication roles for non-profit and consultancy organizations in the Netherlands & Brussels. She has also been involved in the implementation of EU funded projects on international education & employability training.


Fotios Konstantinidis

KwstantinidisFotios Konstantinidis is a Scientific Project Manager at ICCS since February 2021. He holds a diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering and a MSc in Mechatronics & Systems Automation, based on the Industry 4.0. He is currently a PhD candidate at the department of Production & Management Engineering (DUTh) and his research focuses on the development of Cyber-Physical Production Systems (CPPSs) (Industry 4.0 ecosystem), that can be integrated in the existed industrial infrastructure.

Fotios had worked as an Industry 4.0 Technology Analyst at Smarterchains SA, analysing plants’ maturity level, proposing I4.0 strategies for Fortune 500 companies, while creating I4.0 AI-based training material. Prior to this, he had worked in Next-Generation Access networks at WIND Hellas (Telecom Industry) and has also fulfilled his military obligations, as an IT classified support manager. In paraller with the military, he contributed in the development of a smart medical device at the University of Ioannina. Throughout his career, he has also authored conference & journal articles, organised workshops and delivered presentations.


Dr. Ioanna Doutsou

DoutsouPhotoDr Ioanna Doutsou joined iSense team as a Senior Public Relations Manager. Having started her career as a journalist, she has worked for more than 15 years in key positions at the intersection of communication, media, education and digital marketing. She holds an MSc in Media and Communications Regulation & Policy from the London School of Economics and a PhD within the field of online social networks from Kings College London –for which she received a state scholarship award. Since 2005, she has been working as a communications professional for several companies, educational and research institutions in Greece and abroad (Athens, Brussels, London). She is experienced in managing all aspects of an institutions’ internal and external communications –from strategic planning, policy design and large scale events organization to web content production and management and community building- and has been involved in many national and European projects. Her career in communications has been occasionally combined with academic teaching activity in Greece and in UK in the fields of journalism, digital marketing, communication theory, media production, social media management as well as with publishing activities in research.
