Dr. Dimitra Dionysiou is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS), National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). She holds a diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (NTUA), a PhD in In Silico cancer modelling (NTUA), and an MSc in Bioinformatics (Faculty of Biology, University of Athens).
She has worked in the development of ICT technology in healthcare, focusing on cancer modeling for personalized medicine, mainly within the framework of EC-funded projects (e.g. BOUNCE, CHIC, DrTherapat, MyHealthAvatar, p-medicine, ACGT).
Her research interests include mechanistic and machine learning modelling for personalized medicine, predictive analytics and decision support systems. She has published more than 75 journal and conference articles, and has strong experience in R&I proposal submission. She has served as an Expert Evaluator of Horizon 2020 proposals (2020), MAESTRO grands (NSC Poland, 2017), and various peer-reviewed publications.
She has been a member of the ISOG&ISM Group since 1999 and a member of I-SENSE Group since October 2020.
