The I-SENSE group is currently looking to recruit a Software Developer to work in a range of European-funded projects in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The applicant should be able to work both in teams and as an individual, and he/she should be knowledgeable, creative, reliable, consistent and dynamic. He/she needs to have significant and proven experience in software development and able to both lead and follow tight software development tasks.
Qualifications:
- Electrical and Computer Engineering degree, Informatics degree or equivalent
Technical Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge in C/C++
- Excellent knowledge in Java
- Proven experience in IT architecture design for real-time systems
- Experience with application development in proliferating mobile platforms such as Android/iPhone
- Excellent knowledge of English (written and oral)
Additional desirable skills:
- Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Informatics
- Experience with embedded and/or real-time operating system
- Experience in database development (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience in handling CAN bus data will be considered as an asset
- Ability to transform functional requirements into concrete technical specifications
- Working experience in the ITS field will be positively assessed
- Working Experience in EU and/or national research projects will be considered an asset
